Copenhagen · Worker-owned · Established 2025

We publish games we would be willing to explain to the people who play them.

Foolhardy Horizons is a Danish game publisher owned by the developers who work in it. We take finished and near-finished games to market — store release, QA, localisation and press — and we build our own titles in the same building, under the same rules.

Title details

Cover art on this site is generated artwork, not a screenshot. Gameplay footage lives on the store page for each title.

Publishing services

Four things a small studio should not have to do alone.

You made the game. The rest of it — store pages, ratings applications, build pipelines, review keys, localisation vendors, refund policy — is a second job. That second job is ours.

01

Game publishing & distribution

From a finished build to a live store page

We take a game that is playable and get it onto the storefronts it belongs on, with the paperwork, the pricing and the release plan handled by people who have done it before.

What that includes

02

Development support & QA

Production help, and a second pair of eyes on the build

Practical production support for small teams: milestone planning that survives contact with reality, and structured testing so the bugs are found by us rather than by a review thread.

What that includes

03

Marketing & global PR

Reaching players without lying to them

Campaign work built on the game you actually made: capsule art and trailers cut from real footage, a press list that matches the genre, and a launch beat plan you can staff.

What that includes

04

Release operations & post-launch

The unglamorous half of shipping

Localisation, support, reporting and the long tail. A launch week is not the end of the work, and the plan should say so before anyone signs.

What that includes

How we are built

A cooperative, and it is on the register.

Foolhardy Horizons is registered as a forening med begrænset ansvar — a limited-liability association. In practice that means the people doing the work hold the votes: creative direction, business decisions and how money is spent are decided by the developers, with an appointed director to keep the company answerable to Danish company law.

It is an unusual legal form for a games company, and it is the reason the rest of this site can be blunt about what we will and will not ship.

Where the line is

What we will not put our name on.

This is not a disclaimer added for a form. It is the reason several of us left the studios we came from, and it is written into the publishing terms every agreement points at.

Read it in the terms
  • Gambling, casino, betting, sweepstakes or any real-money wagering
  • Loot boxes, paid random-item mechanics or gambling-style simulations
  • Cryptocurrency, tokens, NFTs or blockchain-based in-game economies
  • Real-money trading of in-game items and player-to-player marketplaces
  • Distribution through unauthorised third-party app stores or APK mirrors
  • Adult content, and games designed around addictive or deceptive spending

Open for submissions

Send us something playable.

No studio has released through us yet — the publishing programme is open and this is the first window. We would rather say that than show you a wall of logos. You will get an answer with a reason attached, within five working days.

  1. 01 Send the pitch A short description, a link to a playable build or a vertical slice, and whatever you have for a trailer. Two pages beats twenty.
  2. 02 We confirm receipt You get an acknowledgement with a reference number within five working days, whether or not we are going to take it further.
  3. 03 Evaluation We play it. If the answer is no, you get the reason in writing rather than silence. If it is a maybe, we tell you what would change it.
